Perched on the exclusive Kommeno promontory, Ophira is more than a villa—it’s a quiet, sanctuary where Corfu’s Venetian past, Ionian light, and coastal ease come together in one intimate escape.
From here, you’re just close enough to feel the pulse of Corfu Town, yet tucked away in a calm, privileged corner of the island. Mornings begin with soft light over the bay, the clink of coffee cups on the terrace, and the promise of a day shaped entirely around food, sea, and slow discovery.

Between Kommeno’s Calm and Corfu Town’s Venetian Soul

Ophira Villa sits just 11km north of Corfu Town.
In Corfu Town, four centuries of Venetian rule have left their mark in stone and shadow. The UNESCO-listed Old Town is a masterpiece of narrow kantounia (lanes), pastel facades, and grand fortifications. You can wander from the Old Fortress to the elegant Liston Promenade, pause in hidden squares, and end the evening with a glass of wine in view of the Venetian Well.
Your day begins with a chef-prepared breakfast at Ophira, then drift into an afternoon exploring Corfu Town’s shops, cafés, and galleries, before returning “home” to a private dinner on the terrace.
Beaches, Bays, and Boat Days at Your Doorstep

From Ophira, the sea is never far away. We will slip out into the bay by boat, trace the coastline, and discover tiny coves that feel worlds away from the everyday.
Heading northeast, we will visit by boat the bustling little harbour town of **Kassiopi** offers a livelier scene with cafés, tavernas, and waterfront walks.
A Culinary Journey Rooted in Place
What makes Ophira special is how naturally it connects food, landscape, and history.
You might spend one day exploring Corfu Town’s Venetian streets and fortresses, tasting gelato under the arcades of the Liston, and sipping coffee in a quiet square. The next, you’re back at the villa, watching your chef transform local ingredients into a multi-course dinner that reflects both the island’s Greek roots and its Venetian echoes.
Over the course of your stay, you don’t just “visit” Corfu—you settle into its rhythm. You learn the curve of the Kommeno coastline, the color of the water at different hours, and the taste of local olive oil.
