From the moment you arrive, Sicily feels not just near but part of you. Our luxury villa with moving glass exterior walls is on a quiet cove. It terraces toward the sea with our own private beach. This villa has its own hammam spa: steam room and sauna, marble jacuzzi in the garden, as well as an infinity pool.
Cooking in a Sicilian Kitchen
The kitchen at the villa quickly becomes the heart of your stay. One afternoon, a local chef arrives with a crate of fresh produce that looks like a painting: glossy eggplants, sun-ripened tomatoes, wild herbs, and cheese. Cooking together with the kitchen doors open to the scents of salt and wild fennel.
The menu may include caponata, a sweet and sour eggplant dish; handmade busiate pasta tossed in pistachio pesto; and swordfish involtini filled with breadcrumbs, pine nuts, and raisins.
Exploring East Sicily
The nearby town of Syracusa and the romantic gem of its connecting island of Ortigia, is rich with ancient Greek cultural sites,
A winery visit to Mt. Etna includes a hands-on cooking luncheon at a luxurious table . Other day trips include visits to the Baroque cities of Noto and Ragusa. A chartered boat tour of the beautiful Ionian coast rounds out this journey.

Portico Culinary Tours are always all inclusive, yet since they are limited to 10 guests, you are always welcome to take rest days in the villa at any time. Many do, and love it. Our Tours include the luxury villa stay, carefully selected restaurants, all experiences listed, and ground transportation. Keep in mind that Italian sojourns include a lot of walking and uneven pavement.
For mood-boarding I prompt a text-to-panorama tool with the client's brief and use the result as a 360 backdrop in SketchUp.
